Mrs. Moore graduated from Randolph-Macon Woman's College in Lynchburg, Virginia with a Bachelor of Arts degree in history. She holds a Masters Degree in Christian Education from Virginia Theological Seminary.  Mrs. Moore was appointed Interim Head of School in May 2012, and permanent Head in March of 2013.  Prior to her arrival at St. Michael's, she served as the Interim Head of School at St. Martin's-in-the-Field Episcopal School, a PK-8 school, in Severna Park, Maryland from 2011 to 2012. Mrs' Moore also served as the Head of School for St. Andrew's Episcopal School, a PK-5 parish day school in Newport News, Virginia from 2002-2011.  Her educational leadership includes rich experience in governance and Episcopal identity, having served on the Board of Trustees for several independent schools in Virginia as well as on the Board of Directors for the Virginia Association of Independent Schools.  She currently serves on the Board for the Arizona Episcopal Schools Foundation.  In her free time she enjoys playing golf, hiking, exploring historical sites, as well as reading, cooking, gardening, and spending time with her husband and two Australian Shepherds.

Dr. Teller has more than twenty years of experience teaching Spanish, Portuguese and linguistics at both the university and college preparatory levels. The majority of his career has been spent in independent schools in Tucson, where he has served as a Head of School, Upper School Principal and full time faculty member. Dr. Teller earned a Ph.D. in Second Language Acquisition and Teaching and an M.A. in Spanish Linguistics from the University of Arizona, as well as a B.S. in Psychology from Georgetown University. Following his graduation from Georgetown, Dr. Teller participated in a yearlong service-learning project in Peru. That experience ignited his interest in language, culture, travel and social justice. When not at St. Michael’s, Dr. Teller enjoys spending time with his family, playing the guitar and being outdoors, particularly if it involves riding a bicycle!

Judith S. Breault

Mrs. Breault started substituting at St. Michael's in 1978, taking a part-time position as Girls' P.E. instructor in 1979, and becoming a full-time teacher in our Lower School for 10 years.  In 1991, Mrs. Breault began teaching middle school math, and is now our Director of Middle School.  She is a member of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics and the National Middle School Association. In her spare time, Mrs. Breault performs with a dance troupe and enjoys tap dancing, travel, and challenging her students with problem-solving puzzles.

Jennifer Gould

Ms. Gould returned to St. Michael’s in the fall of 2016 with many years of teaching experience as well as expertise in curriculum development, technology training and peer mentoring. Ms. Gould is an enthusiastic champion of STEM education. In addition to teaching three sections of math in the middle school, she coordinates the St. Michael’s Annual STEM Festival and Science Fair, co-chairs the school’s robotics team, and coaches a team of middle school mathletes who compete in local, regional and state-level math competitions. In 2012, she was honored as a Raytheon Math MovesU Math Hero. She has also participated in several partnership programs through the Office of the Pima County School Superintendent and the University of Arizona, including: the STEMAZing Project, GTEAMS and Project Astro. Ms. Gould is a member of several professional organizations including the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE), the National Science Teachers Association (NSTA) and the National Council for Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM). In her free time, Ms. Gould enjoys an active lifestyle that includes yoga, hiking, and spending time with her family.

Kim Greene

Mrs. Greene joined St. Michael's in 2014 as a Kindergarten aide. A native of Northern California, Coach Greene attended the University of Arizona on a full athletic scholarship to play basketball. She has been the head girls' basketball coach at St. Michael's since 2012 and has also coached intramural soccer and football. She became Athletic Director in 2016. Mrs. Greene has been married to her husband, Michael, since 2001. They have two children, Madeline and Jack.

Ms. Hart grew up in Tucson and attended the University of Arizona (B.A. in Elementary Education) and Northern Arizona University (M.Ed. Educational Leadership). She holds endorsements in Early Childhood Education (ECE) as well as Structured English Immersion (SEI). As a certified teacher for the last fifteen years, her experiences have included teaching positions in Kindergarten, arts integration, and public safety.  Ms. Hart enjoys playing soccer, traveling, writing, spending time with family and friends, and attending U of A basketball and football games. Rachel Hawes

Ms. Hawes began working at St. Michael’s in 2017. She previously worked as a Librarian Technology Integration Specialist and Language Arts Teacher for Tanque Verde Unified School District. She also served on the University of Arizona Library Website Steering Committee while completing coursework in Digital Information Management. Her work at the U of A included studying and reporting on student usability issues with online services and research processes. Ms. Hawes is a member of the International Society for Technology in Education. She is committed to teaching 21st-Century standards-based technology and research skills to students so that they will be well prepared for high school and beyond.

Ms. Hayward grew up in Barre, Vermont. She attended the University of Vermont, majoring in Elementary Education with a minor in Behavioral Science. In 1983 she moved to Tucson. Ms. Hayward taught at Abbie Loveland Tuller Episcopal School for the next fourteen years, gathering experience in many grades, including kindergarten, fourth, sixth, and eighth. Ms. Hayward joined the staff at St. Michael's in 1998. She is presently a fifth grade teacher, the school calendar coordinator, and she will serve as the Intermediate School Division Director. She had served eight years as the Intermediate Coordinator for St. Michael’s from 2000 - 2008. Ms. Hayward is a member of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics and was chosen in 2005 and 2006 for Who's Who Among America's Teachers. Ms. Hayward enjoys spending her free time with her two children: Derek, a 2002 graduate of St. Michael's, and Brittany, a 2008 graduate of St. Michael's. Ms. Hayward enjoys yoga, reading, swimming, and walking with her dog, Mimi.

Ms. Holsinger started at St. Michael's in January of 2006 after enjoying ten years of retirement. She had worked at Carondelet Health Care for twenty years and left to raise her two sons. During retirement Mrs. Holsinger spent her time working part-time at a scrapbook store and teaching Tae Kwon Do. She still enjoys scrapbooking and reading, as well as dancing with a performing tap dance company.

Erika Huff

Erika Huff is a registered nurse and has practiced nursing for over ten years with an emphasis in Pediatrics. Prior to St. Michael’s, Mrs. Huff worked in various areas of nursing at Tucson Medical Center, including the in-patient Pediatric floor, Diagnostic Nursing, and Children's Emergency Department, as well as working at the Eye Institute of Southern Arizona. She also attended Lakeside School of Massage Therapy in Milwaukee, WI, after graduating from nursing school. Mrs. Huff plans to pursue her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing as well as complete a national certification for school nurses in the near future.

Mrs. Huff is married with two boys, Mason and Josh. In her spare time, she enjoys being with her family and friends. Her hobbies include traveling, reading, cooking, running, hiking, and learning new things! She is excited to join the wonderful staff here at St. Michael’s and looks forward to providing excellent nursing care to our students.

Richard Newcomer was born and spent most of his life in the Washington, D.C., area. After getting a bachelor's degree in accounting, he worked for a major accounting firm and is a retired CPA. The majority of his career was spent helping start-up, small, and medium-sized businesses with transforming their accounting data into meaningful management reports. He was drawn to St. Michael's School because of its mission and the sense of community he experienced here. His current duties coordinating financial, facility, and services management are a great complement to his love of the outdoors and the great Tucson climate.

Julia Rebert

Julia Rebert, our administrative assistant in the school's Business Office, joined the team in 2017. Mrs. Rebert is a native Arizonan, growing up in Yuma and then moving to Tucson in high school. She has been a very active member of the St. Michael's community. Since 2010, she has served as a co-chair for the St. Michael's Angels (SMA), co-chaired the annual Gala fundraiser, appeared frequently as a substitute teacher, and now serves as an administrative assistant. She has been married since 2004 and has two children, Isabel and Colton, who both attend St. Michael's. She enjoys yoga and spending time with family and friends.

Ms. Reese owned and managed a real estate investment company for over 20 years.  She developed residential projects from conception to implementation.  She is a visionary who enjoys brainstorming new ideas and ways to make them a reality. Ms. Reese is honored to be working as the Development Director on behalf of the St. Michael's community.  Prior to this, she served as a co-chair for our parent organization, SMA. Her daughter, Savannah,  a student at St. Michael's from kindergarten through 8th grade graduated in 2015. Ms. Reese's goal is to ensure that the financial strength and excellence of our community is continually supported! She is eager to pursue grant and foundation money to enhance our technology, enrichment, and capital goals. Ms. Reese is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals.  On the weekends, you will probably find Ms. Reese and Savannah at the barn!  As great outdoor and animal enthusiasts, they spend their free time at the barn jumping their horses and washing the dogs!

Mary Virginia Rekerdre

Ms. Rekerdre is a native Tucsonan and attended St. Michael's during Father Fowler's tenure.  After her children graduated from St. Michael's, she couldn't bear the separation and found herself at the front desk, where she now is the center of all of St. Michael's communication and our main greeter.

Mother Clare spent her early professional life earning a doctorate in Anthropology at the University of Arizona. Her dissertation was based on fieldwork in Veracruz, Mexico where she studied Classic period influence from the Valley of Mexico. After her defense, she took a year off to be an intern at St. Philip's in the Hills Episcopal Church and from there discerned a call to the ordained ministry. Upon finishing her seminary work, she was ordained a priest and served as an assistant in charge of youth and family ministry at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Rochester, NY. After that appointment, she served several churches in the Diocese of Massachusetts, while continuing to be active in the ministry of family, youth, and children. Returning to Tucson, she served as Associate for Family and Seeker ministries at St. Philip's In the Hills for a brief period of time before coming to St. Michael's as chaplain and religion teacher for Intermediate and Middle School grades. In her free time, Mother Clare volunteers at The Hermitage Cat Shelter and also spends time cooking, reading, and enjoying time with her family.
