St. Michael’s encourages students to reach their full potential, building a foundation for lifelong learning. Dedicated and experienced faculty excel at educating the whole child. Our commitment to differentiated instruction ensures that students of various abilities, interests, and talents discover their unique way to shine. Most students of average to above average ability thrive in this challenging yet supportive atmosphere.

We sincerely believe that our academic program is second to none. Our curriculum encompasses the fundamentals as well as fine arts, music, technology, language, physical education, and spiritual development. Field trips further enhance classroom instruction and include visits to museums, natural habitats, historic towns, and music and theater productions.

In order to help families assess their children’s progress and to help us evaluate our curriculum as a whole, St. Michael’s performs three days of standardized testing each spring, using the Stanford Ten battery. However, being an independent school, we are freed from the need to “teach to the test.”
