3/15/20 Interim School Closure

Posted on

Dear St. Michael’s Parents and Families,

URGENT: Given the Governor’s order today for the closure of all Arizona schools, St. Michael’s School will not be open tomorrow, Monday, March 16th. To repeat, we will not be open tomorrow.

Governor Ducey’s message indicates information relating to possible future childcare assistance:
Governor Doug Ducey’s Open Letter To Arizona Families, Educators, School Leaders, And Education Community Members

We will host families and parents on Tuesday, March 17th, on campus from 8:00 am – 10:00 am for Lower School and 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm for Upper School to retrieve the materials they will require for their transition to online learning; if you are in Lower School but need to come during the Upper School time, and vice-versa, that is absolutely fine.

Email communication with additional details from our two division directors, Mandy Hart and Alex Hawes, will be forthcoming immediately. I will have a separate, extended email message for all of you by tomorrow as well.

Our online transition to assure continuity of learning will be ready and available for students beginning Monday, March 23rd, as planned.

Please extend this message as best you can within your networks of St. Michael’s parents.

Sincerely,
Brendan Sullivan
Head of School
