3/30/20 EOY Update

Dear St. Michael’s Parents and Families,

As you have more than likely seen or heard by now, the Governor of Arizona, Doug Ducey, announced earlier today, as anticipated, the decision to close Arizona schools through the end of the current 2019-2020 academic year. We have since made the decision to do the same. Please note, therefore, that the St. Michael’s School physical campus will remain closed through May 21, 2020 (through May 22, 2020, as well for our eighth-grade Commencement).

We will of course continue to work daily with all of you and your sons and daughters to deliver engaging, relevant, standards-aligned curriculum, instruction, and assessment throughout. To that same end, please stay attuned to email communication from me, our faculty, and division directors with a more explicit framework for online assessment, grading, and reporting for the remainder of the academic year.

Please note our campus hours of operation:

Office hours for in-person visits to campus are by appointment. Please send an email to me (bsullivan@stmichael.net) or to Ms. Tracy Holsinger, Director of Communication (tholsinger@stmichael.net), to make an appointment.

Considerations for the end of the academic year, summer programming, and the start of the 2020-2021 academic year are underway. I will send a subsequent email to all of you toward the end of this week to provide, as best we can determine, these important details.

With all good wishes to you and your families,

Sincerely,
Brendan Sullivan
Head of School
