Admissions Timeline for the 2023-24 School Year

Dates are subject to change. The deadlines listed are for Early Round consideration as well as the Regular Decision round of applications. If an application or supplemental materials are received after the deadline for the regular decision round, you will be considered in rolling admissions.

October 2022

October 1 – Online Application Open

St. Michael’s School uses an online application system. Create an account on the login page or use your existing account if you have already submitted an inquiry.

October 1 – Tuition Assistance Applications Open

If you are interested in applying for tuition assistance, complete the online application. All financial information will be sent to and processed by FAST. Their site has step-by-step, downloadable instructions and a 24-hour help line to assist you.

November 2022

November 15 – Deadline for Early Decision Applications and Round 1 Tuition Assistance Decisions

To be eligible to participate in the first round of Admissions Assessments as well as the first round of tuition assistance decisions, all applications must be received no later than November 15, 2022. In addition to submitting the online application, request(s) for teacher recommendations and a transcript release form (if applicable) must be submitted. Please see the checklist of admission steps in Blackbaud for details.

November 19 – Early Decision Admissions Assessment Day
9:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Students applying to TK through eighth grade will participate in an individual or group admissions assessment. The format of the assessment varies from interactive, one-on-one assessments in early childhood to more standardized assessments in middle school. A member of our team will contact you to schedule your appointment.

December 2022

December 5 – Early Decision Letters released

Decision letters will go out on December 5, 2022. If an offer of acceptance is made, families will have until December 15, 2022 to make their decision to enroll. Early Decision Enrollment Agreements will then be issued and due back no later than January 5, 2023.

December 10 – Affordability Workshop
9:00 AM – 10:00 AM

Join us for our 2nd Annual Affordability Workshop to learn more about two very important funding providers for your child’s private school education: Universal Empowerment Scholarship Awards (ESA) and the Arizona Private School Tuition Tax Credit program/School Tuition Organizations (STOs). Regardless of your family’s income, you can benefit from participation in these programs. We will discuss some key questions about these two programs, such as: what are Empowerment Scholarship Accounts (ESAs) and School Tuition Organizations (STOs)?, who is eligible to participate?, can I use the two programs concurrently?, and how do I apply?

January 2023

January 28 – Open House
8:00 AM – 9:00 AM

Families with prospective students for TK through 8th grade are invited to attend this school-wide informative in-person event to visit classrooms, tour the campus, meet our fantastic teachers, and learn all about our well-rounded and engaging curriculum.

February 2023

February 2 – Kindergarten and Incoming First Grade Round-Up & Invited-Dress for Moana
4:45 PM – 6:30 PM

Students who have already signed-up for Kindergarten or First Grade along with students just beginning the application process are invited to join our teachers for some classroom activities from 4:45 PM – 5:30 PM. While the students are in the classroom, parents will gather with the Lower School Division Director and the Director of Enrollment. A pizza party luau for the whole family will immediately follow the classroom activities. At 6:00 PM, everyone is invited to attend the Invited Dress Rehearsal of the school’s musical theater performance of Moana.

February 11 – Affordability Workshop
9:00 AM – 10:00 AM

March 2023

March 8 – Walk-In Wednesday Campus Tour
8:30 AM, 9:00 AM, 9:30 AM and 10:00 AM

Visit the classrooms in action and see the students and their teachers going about their regular school day activities. You’ll have a chance to ask questions that pertain directly to your grade level(s) of interest. Coming to our school is really the best way to learn about our wonderful school programs!

Decision letters will go out on March 17, 2022. If an offer of acceptance is made, families must return their signed enrollment agreement along with a $500 tuition deposit by March 31, 2023.
