Middle School Trips
Our middle school curriculum is highlighted by annual five- or six-day class trips that reach from coast to coast.
• Sixth graders journey to southwestern Colorado to the campus of the Crow Canyon Archaeological Center. The trip includes investigations of archaeological methods and exploration of Ancestral Puebloan culture, as well as trips to Mesa Verde National Park, Sunset Crater Volcano National Monument, and Canyon de Chelly National Monument.
• Seventh graders travel to beautiful Catalina Island, off the coast of California, to study marine biology and ecosystems with Mountain & Sea Educational Adventures. The trip includes snorkeling instruction and an overnight visit to the Long Beach Aquarium.
• Eighth graders conclude their St. Michael’s experience with the much anticipated trip to Washington, D.C. Students visit the Capitol, White House, Arlington National Cemetary, National Cathedral, Supreme Court, Mount Vernon, and all the major museums and monuments. Night activities have included performances at the Kennedy Center, Folger Shakespeare Theater, Ford's Theater, and a dinner-dance cruise on the Potomac.
