St. Michael’s School, an Episcopal K-8 parish day school in Tucson, is currently accepting applications for an elementary school teacher beginning in the fall of 2018. The candidate for this full time position will join an exceptional and talented faculty, working with bright and motivated students.
Qualified candidates should have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in elementary education and at least three years of elementary classroom teaching experience. Creativity, a passion for teaching and learning, and team spirit are desired. Collaboration with other teachers, as well as the ability to maintain a structured, engaging learning environment that is student centered are important qualities for a St. Michael’s teacher. In addition, he or she should have strong technology skills in integrating technology into the curriculum. Teachers are expected to participate in after school meetings and committees as well as occasional after school conferences with parents. The candidate must have flexibility with regard to grade placement on the K-3 level.
